One of the possibilities of the fractioning laser Fotona Spectro SP is to remove scars, including acne scars. It is possible thanks to ablation of hypertrophied tissue to the level of healthy skin. Tissue modeling is very effective, the healing period does not last longer than a week. Removal of scars is effective when a light beam of varying strength and time is used. Scars can be completely eliminated, but it should be remembered that in the case of long-term changes it is not always possible - but we can achieve a significant improvement in the appearance and tension of the skin, which affects their aesthetics.

Contraindications to carry out the procedure

• pregnancy,
• pacemaker,
• epilepsy,
• diabetes,
• some skin diseases such as rosacea, psoriasis,
• tanning, also solarium 4 weeks before and after the treatment,
• use of some medications,
• steroids,
• some viral changes,
• using photosensitizing medications,
• use of retinol creams,
• use of some herbs: marigold, St. John's wort.

Patient's conduct before laser scar removal procedure

Before the planned treatment You should not:

1. tanning - minimum 4 weeks before,
2. use peelings a week before treatment,
3. drink alcohol on the day of surgery,
4. shaving the skin with a razor the day before the treatment,
5. wash all skin care products,
6. in the case of anticoagulants, steroids, photosensitizing drugs, they should be discontinued (if possible) 7 days before the treatment and can be reused 14 days after the treatment.

Treatment of the patient after a laser scar removal procedure

After the procedure, it is not necessary to:

• use soaps, alcohol-based tonics, spirit,
• carry out peelings, wipe places where the treatment was performed with a towel or sponge,
• irritate the skin in the treated area,
• it is also not recommended to use sauna or hot tub for about 14 days, sunbathing for 4 weeks after the treatment,
• if the treatment was performed on the face, use creams with SPF 50 for 4 weeks after the treatment. There are no contraindications as to the use of cosmetics after the procedure. After 2 months you should visit the doctor for a control visit.
