Resurfacing is a precise method of removing the surface layer of the skin. It is an excellent form of fighting acne scars, visible wrinkles, discolorations, furrows as well as flabby skin. It becomes clearly tense, refreshed and regains its lost radiance.

You can perform 3 types of resurfacing in our clinic: deep, medium and delicate. They vary in intensity. It is up to the specialist to decide which type of resuscitation to perform. It depends on the condition of the skin and age.

What is the procedure?

The treatment is performed with the Er:Yag Fotona Spectro SP laser, the wavelength of light is 2940nm. Laser by its action causes the creation of several dozen or several hundred tiny lesions surrounded by healthy skin, which has not been subjected to its action. Then the skin regenerates faster, stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. In addition, the skin becomes thicker, a controlled heating of the skin is created, which strengthens the rejuvenation effect. It is a completely safe and minimally invasive procedure.

Immediately after the treatment you can expect redness and slight swelling. This is similar to the effect of exaggerated tanning. This redness usually disappears after a week, while the swelling disappears after 4 days. In the next stage, the skin may be darkened and may peel off. After 7 days it calms down and returns to normal. It should be remembered, however, that those areas where the greatest interference took place can remain reddened for up to 3 months, and sometimes even up to 6 months. It is recommended to repeat the treatment from 2 to 5 times, because at the first treatment 20% of the upper skin layer is damaged.

For whom the treatment is intended?

Resurfacing is the deepest fractional peeling method. It is perfect for people who have problems with acne scars, discolourations, flabby skin or visible wrinkles and furrows.

Resurfacing effects

The effects of the treatment can be divided into two stages. After just a few days you can see the skin tone balance and disappearance of discolorations. Within 4-5 weeks, the skin's elasticity improves. After just one treatment, results comparable to 10 microdermabrasion treatments can be achieved.
